First, I went to San Francisco! But I didn't see the Golden Gate Bridge. :( But I saw other cool places! :)
This (^) was the view from the big window in Marisah's living room. Pretty cool huh?
And all of these were the view from the top of Lone Mountain, which is a huge hill in the USF campus. We had just climbed all 244 stairs (I counted them). Sooo tiring!! I don't know the name of it, but I got a picture of that spiky building they always show! XD And I didn't see the Golden Gate Bridge in person, but I saw tons of it while watching many Charmed episodes! :P
After that, I left for Beijing. It was kinda scary, not gunna lie. But, in the end, I only had a few hassles and it all turned out alright in the end. (Cause I am here!) I was going to spend the night at a hotel in Beijing, even had it booked, but I ended not after seeing a lot of stuff about how much of a hassle the security could be and how the airport was safe (maybe safer than going to a hotel?).
My first look at China.
My first in person glimpse of a toilet in the floor!! 8D
Random play place :) I really wanted to sit on the red bear thing but I followed directions.
Crazy pay phones that kept playing commercials! At first I didn't know where the sound was from and it creeped me out! lol I didn't get a picture, but there was a ad for expensive watches that had Nicholas Cage on it! hahaha
And next, my Japan pictures! I won't go into detail about my stay here so far cause it takes up many paragraphs and I'm tired (its 11:43 pm right now) but here are my pics!
All of these beginning ones are from the bus ride from the airport to the sports center, where I stayed my first night. My family was on vacation visiting a castle the day I arrived. Anyways, they are all of either Osaka or Nishinomiya.
Ferris wheel! Yay! This wasn't the only one I saw either!
Mountains!!!
This is a close up of all the laundry hanging out to dry. Here in Japan, very rarely will any place have dryers, just like central heating and air conditioning.
Big red bridge. From further away, the shadows looked purple and the red looked pink! XD
I want to go to an amusement park . . .
They have slug bugs here Steve!!!
My first dinner in Japan and its from a Lawsons convenience store. Marisah, I got a Poi drink from a vending machine for only 110 yen!
The beds are tatami on the bottom, you lay the futon down over it, and they were bunk beds! :P
Training field outside my room at the sports center.
Mountains! Outside my sports center room.
And last, but not least, my room in my host families home. It may be small but everything is smaller here in Japan than in America. haha I like it, its pretty. The first pic of my futon all laid out on the floor and the second is the part with a little table and window and such.
Ok, I'm going to bed, oyasumi! (Good night!)
hi shae! jealous of you being able to get those drinks for so cheap! D: but i am glad you are enjoying it so far!! i got upset a few days ago when i remembered i can't just text you about stupid stuff anymore :( but thats what fb messages and skype are for, right?! :D
